OUR HISTORY

Qreo was founded in 2013 by Björn Broberg

But Qreo's history starts much earlier than that. Björn grew up in a family with several members working as ventilation contractors and he himself got his first job as a fitter at the age of 15. Björn then continued his career in the ventilation industry as a designer at Theorell's engineering firm in Uppsala. In parallel with this, his interest in CAD grew, which resulted in a degree from the Computer Science program at Uppsala University. As a thesis, Björn developed the first three-dimensional CAD tool for ventilation with integrated calculations, which was named CADvent.
Founder

Björn worked for several years as head of IT development at Lindab. Here he created technical solutions that enabled model files created in CADvent to be used as a basis for production in the workshop without any extra manual intervention, which was groundbreaking at the time.

Furthermore, Björn worked as a business developer at Sydtotal in Malmö, where he created a business system called CAMvent. An integration enabled information created within the design department in CADvent to be uploaded into calculation programs for quotation and production. This new working methodology meant a significant efficiency increase compared to the industry standard at the time.
